U.S. Supreme Court Deals a Major Blow to the Trump Administartion

In a major blow to the Trump Administration, the United States Supreme Court, the highest court in the land, ruled that the Trump Administration cannot end the Deferred Action against Childhood Arrivals (DACA), thus saving over 700,000 DACA recipients from deportation.

According to the New America economy, there are 28,000 DACA recipients or Dreamers as they are popularly called, in New York, and another 85,000 actually qualify as dreamers.

Over 200,000 dreamers serve on the frontlines during the Covid 19 pandemic, therefore any attempt to revoke their status would deal a severe blow not only to the New York economy, but the United States as a whole.
