Ighalo could start for Man Utd
Club Bruges v Man Utd (17:55 GMT)
Manchester United
With Marcus Rashford out, Manchester United signed Odion Ighalo on loan in January and he is in contention to start in the Europa League later. The Nigeria striker, 30, made his debut in the 2-0 win over Chelsea last weekend when he came on as substitute."I won't tell the team today but we will have to rotate with all the games coming up," said United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Wednesday."He's one that could start, we've not 100% decided yet.The Norwegian added: "Odion is a different type of striker. We have seen him in training. He knows how to play as a centre-forward - he's a fantastic professional and human."We need to give him as much game time as possible."

'Touch and go' whether Rashford will play again this season
Manchester United
Marcus Rashford was already out but turns out the Manchester United striker's injury is "more severe" than the club expected and it is "touch and go" if he will play again this season. The England international, 22, was injured after coming on as a substitute during the FA Cup third-round replay win against Wolves on 15 January and is also a doubt for the Euros this summer."We can't rush him," United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said. "Hopefully he will play again this season but it will be touch and go towards the end."Asked if he could miss the Euros, Solskjaer added: "I hope he would play before the end of the season but if he is not fit then he won't go."

'These are our players for the next however many matches'
Tottenham 0-1 RB Leipzig
BBC Radio 5 Live
However, former Tottenham winger Chris Waddle highlighted the fact that Jose Mourinho didn't even name 18-year-old Troy Parrott in his squad. The Irish striker has impressed for the youth team since joining the club in 2017, and has already played twice for the first team this season."You are obviously going to miss the quality of Kane and Son, but to be honest I can only think of one chance where you think that they could have scored that," said Waddle on BBC Radio 5 Live."They say they have no strikers but they do, they have Troy Parrott - you have to play him. He's not even on the bench tonight. You can say he is not ready but how do you know? If you have a centre-forward, you play him."Former England goalkeeper added Rob Green added: "Historically Mourinho does not play kids - that is not his thing. You prepare for a season and things go wrong. You have started the season with one number nine, you are getting into the last 16 of the Champions League and you have not got a centre-forward - it is criminal."

'These are our players for the next however many matches'
Tottenham 0-1 RB Leipzig
Tottenham Hotspur
There's just one goal between the sides in the three other first legs that have been played so far, with Tottenham losing at home to RB Leipzig.Boss Jose Mourinho said it was like "going to fight with a gun without bullets" as Spurs were without potent forward duo Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, and substitutes Erik Lamela and Tanguy Ndombele were not fully fit. They have four games before the second leg in Germany on 10 March and Mourinho feels they will be struggling in attack."We are really in trouble," he said. "If it was just this game I'd say no problem but we have FA Cup and Premier League games."He added: "I'm not worried with the 1-0 - we can go there and win. What worries me is that these are our players for the next however many matches."

Atalanta take 40,000 to the San Siro
Atalanta 4-1 Valencia
Atalanta's home Champions League matches have been played at Milan's San Siro Stadium because their own Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo does not meet Uefa requirements. But a reported 40,000 travelled from Bergamo, which is 55km away, to make the iconic stadium their own for Wednesday's last-16 first leg.Atalanta's home ground only holds 21,000 and the population of Bergamo is 122,000.

'Don't talk too loud, Barcelona'
Manchester City
Pep Guardiola, of course, is a Barcelona legend having won the Champions League three times with the Spanish giants as a player and coach. And when asked about Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu supporting Uefa over Manchester City's punishment, the Blues' boss said: "I don't know if they spy me but they know me, it is not necessary to spy me."If they are happy we are suspended, I say to the president of Barcelona, give us two appeals," he added."I ask right now the people trust what they have done. Don't talk too loud Barcelona. That is my advice, because everybody is involved in situations."We are going to appeal and hopefully in the future we can play Champions League against Barcelona."

Barca president 'thanks' Uefa
Simon Stone wouldn't say who is applying that pressure on Uefa to further investigate Manchester City but Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has supported the initial sanction."We thank Uefa, who in recent years has been so sure to follow up on Financial Fair Play," he said.

Man City claim hacked emails paint 'an incomplete picture'
BBC Radio 5 Live
Uefa's case is thought to hinge on internal emails that were hacked, and Simon Stone added this on BBC Radio 5 Live:"Manchester City have never actually said that the emails were incorrect - and some of them are quite damning."What they've said is that the emails were part of a hack, which we now know to be the case, and they published by people who have an agenda against Manchester City, and also that they were an incomplete picture of conversations that were going on."It's for Manchester City, I guess, to prove what the proper conversations were."

'They don't want it done quickly at the expense of it being done properly'
Simon Stoneon BBC Radio 5 Live
The appeal has to be in by close of play Monday, then it (the timescale) is open-ended.Ideally it would be sorted out before the teams who are going to compete in next season's Champions League have to be confirmed, which is probably the beginning of June, at the latest.Manchester City want it done quickly but they don't want it done quickly at the expense of it being done properly because they see an independent hearing as being the way to get their argument across and prove their innocence.

'Only after the Cas hearing will we have true clarity'
Simon Stoneon BBC Radio 5 Live
I believe he (Guardiola) will stay. And I also believe that Manchester City are not going to sack him.Any day now, Manchester City have to lodge an appeal against the Uefa verdict to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. They say they want this case to be heard speedily and I don't know whether that will be in time for clarity before next season's Champions League so it's possible Manchester City will be in next season's Champions League anyway.I think it's only when that Cas hearing is completed that we'll get true clarity over Pep Guardiola's future and the future of so many Manchester City players, whose contracts are up next season or the season after - during the timescale of the suspension.
