Grants for black owned businesses impacted by Covid 19

The International music superstar and mogul, Beyonce, through her BeyGood organization, this week announced a partnership with the NAACP to provide grants to black owned businesses who have been impacted by Covid 19 in different cities across the United States.

The NAACP announced on its website that it will be distributing a number of $10,000 grants to black owned businesses in Houston, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis

In a press release, the NAACP wrote, "The challenges of of black business owners navigating in this climate cannot be understated, as the effect of uprisings across the nation have led to many businesses being placed in dire straits due to damages, and other small business needs."

The newly established from Beyonce comes after the entertainer partnered with Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter, to pledge $6 Million dollars through the BeyGood Foundation to promote black owned brands across different sectors during the pandemic.

For those interested, you may visit the NAACP's website to apply. Unfortunately, the deadline is July 18, and selected businesses will be notified by July 31.
